This photograph was created on Gothics Mountain, looking toward the Great Range. Saddleback and Basin are in the foreground, with Haystack visible just behind them. In the background, you can just make out New York's highest mountain, Mount Marcy.
The views from Gothics are spectacular. On this particular day, with the leaves on the blueberry bushes being red and the mottled appearance of the leaves on the distant trees, it was even more so.
