Gothics is located in the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks, not far from Lake Placid and Keene Valley. At an elevation of 4,736 feet (1,444 m), Gothics is the tenth highest peak in the Adirondacks. Gothics is one of the premiere mountains in the Great Range. Its open summit has unobstructed views in all directions, and the hike up (or down) the West Face is nothing short of spectacular. In fact, the hike up this face is so steep that trail builders installed cables to aid hikers in their climb.
