Information:

I always find that fresh snow gives a new look, even to places that I have visted many times. And, in photography, a new look is a good thing! Snow also evokes a certain mood reminiscent of the peace of Christmastime.

This particular image also speaks of the struggle to survive as this seedling suffers the harsh Adirondack winters. If it survives the weather and the hungy deer, in many years, this seedling will become a majestic white pine.

For the Shutterbugs:

"Pine Seedling in the Snow" was created with my Hasselblad 500CM camera, and 80 mm lens, Bogen 3021 tripod with ballhead. Film - Kodak Lumiere, ISO 100. No Filtration. Exposure f22 at 1/4 of a second.
